New Heart Failure risk calculators

U-Prevent will in time be expanded with four new evidence-based risk calculators designed to support cardiovascular risk prediction for estimating an individual’s current or future risk related to heart failure across different patient populations:

  • LIFE-HF: Pre-existing heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF)
  • LIFE-Preserved: Pre-existing heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFrEF)
  • SCORE2-HF: 10-year risk of new-onset heart failure
  • SMART2-HF: Heart-failure risk in established CVD

The potential

Together, these calculators support clinical decision-making across the entire heart failure continuum, from primary prevention in individuals without cardiovascular disease, to risk assessment in patients with established cardiovascular disease, and prognosis estimation for patients already living with heart failure.

By identifying individuals at increased risk of developing heart failure, hospitalization, or mortality, these tools have the potential to support preventive strategies, treatment optimization, and long-term patient management.

Evaluation and exploratory

We are pleased to announce that these heart failure calculators are now available as feasibility-study devices on our U-Logiq platform. They are provided for evaluation and exploratory purposes only and are not currently certified under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) or other applicable local medical device regulations. The calculators should therefore not be used for clinical decision-making.

As a U-Prevent user or visitor, you are invited to explore and test these new calculators and help us assess their potential value for future use in clinical practice. You can find them here: https://feasibility.u-logiq.com/. If you have comments or questions, please address them on the contact form.
